TikTok Smartphone coming soon from ByteDance:

If you’re aware of TikTok, then you might rather be aware of its parent company ByteDance as well, since the app had created a controversy, especially in India lately. The app has been entirely banned by the law due to several objectionable and cultural reasons and was later up and running in both Android and iOS platforms. Now, the parent company ByteDance is again in the news as the new report from the Financial Report suggests that the company is planning to build its own smartphone.
Yes, ByteDance smartphone is coming — according to the report, which cited two unnamed sources revealing company’s plans of building a smartphone which is meant to be preloaded with ByteDance’s apps that include Jinri Toutiao, which is a news app, and TikTok, which is obvious and a native music streaming app service, which is yet to be released. Earlier reports suggested that this music app is developed by ByteDance itself and is rumored to be on the likes of JioSaavn and Gaana, and is said to be focused particularly for India.
The report further suggested that Zhang Yiming, the CEO of ByteDance, has been ‘long dreamt’ of building a smartphone preloaded with the company’s native apps. The company has reportedly made a deal with China-based smartphone manufacturer named Smartsian this year.
The report also indicated that this new smartphone from ByteDance would probably be on the likes of smartphones launched by Facebook and Amazon, which also had their native preloaded apps, which were discontinued eventually. Nonetheless, the report appears to be, and there isn’t any official confirmation from the ByteDance as well.
Since there isn’t any official confirmation, it isn’t still unclear how the phone would like and also on what platform the device would be running. It might be running on a custom Android version or a different operating system altogether, which is certainly speculative at this point. Stay tuned to CERadar for more such interesting updates.
