Xiaomi Redmi 7A launched: Specs, key features, price in India

Redmi 7A is now official in India. This is the successor to the Redmi 6A that was launched in India last year. Overall the Redmi 7A is a much-upgraded version to the Redmi 6A in almost all aspects including camera, design, display, hardware, battery, and everything else. The Redmi Redmi 7A comes to India for  a starting price of Rs 5999. But if you buy the Redmi 7A in July you can get the phone for a lower price of Rs 5,799.

The phone comes in three beautiful colours -- Matte blue, matte gold, and matte black. Xiaomi has modified the Indian variant of the Redmi 7A as per consumer interest. The Redmi 7A Indian variant comes with a much-upgraded camera set up on the back when compared to the Chinese variant of the phone.

Front camera: On the front, the phone includes a 5MP selfie shooter that comes paired with AI Portrait mode.

Rear camera: On the back panel the phone includes a single camera but that's better than two cameras. The phone includes a 12MP Sony IMX 486 camera sensor with PDAF.

Battery: The Redmi 7A is backed by a massive 4000mAh battery.

Software: The Redmi 7A runs on Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10.

The Redmi 7A comes with 2 years of warranty. This is the first Xiaomi phone to come with two years of warranty.

At the launch, Xiaomi also confirmed that the Redmi 7A will soon get AI scene detection feature via an OTA update. The Redmi 7A comes with AI face unlock.
