Smartphone Myths Busted

In today's world, there are some Myths in the minds of the youth and all other peoples due to some misunderstandings which finally leads to various Myths. Let's talk about these Myths and find out the facts behind all such Myths.

Some of the major Myths are that of

QuadHD is 2K

People usually believe that Quad HD resolution is itself 2K resolution. In reality But it is not actually the original 2K Resolution. According to " DCI " 2K Resolution is that which comprises of the horizontal pixel value of 2K and its proper resolution is 2048×1080P (i.e. 1920×1080p  FHD). This 2K Resolution consists of approximately 2M pixels. Where-as Quad HD has 2.5M pixels, so whichever smartphone seemed with FHD display in the market are usually having 2K resolution, but more accurately it has around 2.5K. And this misconception arose when companies brought the first Quad-HD Resolution and termed it with 2K. Since then, this Myth has been created in the mindset of customers.

USB Type-C is Faster then MicroUSB port

People use to believe that USB Type-C is much faster than general Micro USB port for fast charging, but the fact is that; the charging speed doesn't depend upon any type of port. Because in reality micro USB port also supports Fast charging (eg: VOOC charging technology of OPPO). Along with the Speed, people also use to believe that, Type-C will promote high data transfer, but it is also not true because Micro-USB' speed will be 480mbps where-as USB Type-C 3.1/3.0 can also be implemented to enhance a 5GBps speed. Thus having only USB Type-C will ensure that these will enhance fast charging and faster data transfer, but it is actually based on different technologies.

More the RAM more Faster will be the device

Well these concept isn't applicable truly, i.e. more the RAM will be more numbers of applications can be kept open and could be run easily from background for multi-tasking but having more RAM will not fasten up any device, instead of faster RAM implementation can fasten the device to its truest fast-speed. Thus the performance of speed can be exerted more in faster-performing RAM because the processors are the ultimate reason behind any better performance.

IP Rating

People use to believe that IP Rating refers that, the device is totally protected from water. But this isn't the actual reason for Ingress Protection Rating (IP Rating)  is given in the phones to protect the device up to a certain amount for preventing dust particles and minor Fluid splash could be prevented. IP-60 Rating refers that, the device will be safe under-water up to 30min up to a depth of about 1.5 Meter and can survive in such condition but this not-actually mean that it will be exactly waterproof, it basically means that the device can survive in any ideal day-to-day conditions and can resist minor water splash only.

More the Megapixels, better the Quality of Image

Usually, smartphone launch events hugely Emphasise more Megapixels like 48MP, 68MP, 108MP. But in reality, it doesn't actually mean that the image will be as great as big the Megapixels will be because this depends upon the Optics, OIS, post Processing quality, Sensor Quality, Apparture, etc. These are only used by the companies with a possible intention to promote better marketing profits, as bigger Megapixels more will be the sale also, Companies use to undergo by-default pixel pinning (i.e., they make 4pixels as 1unit) making any 64MP actually into 16MP sensor. So, definitely, it's sure to show only 16MP image quality rather than any specific high quality.
