CD Projekt Red has developed and published a new role-playing video game called Cyberpunk 2077. Its release is scheduled on 19 November 2020, it will be available for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Windows, for stadia by the end of 2020, and for Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5 in 2021.
The storyline takes place in an open world, in Dystopia Night City, a city in the free state of North California with a high incidence of criminal activities. Cyberpunk 2077 is a first-person perspective game, where the players play as the character of a mercenary called V, who can acquire skills in machinery and hacking, and an arsenal of ranged weapons, and various options for melee combat. A team of around 500 is working on this game, exceeding the number of persons worked in there studio's previous release, which was The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Cyberpunk 2077 is being developed using the REDengine 4. A new division is launched by CD Projekt in Wroclaw, Poland, and partnered with Digital Scapes, Nvidia, and QLOC to assist the production. The actor Keanu Reeves has a starring role in the game. Cyberpunk 2077 is based on a tabletop game called Cyberpunk 2020.
About V
V the character of which the player takes control, V is a mercenary who is deeply attached to the underworld of Night City. V can be customized by the player easily and freely, allowing the player to choose his desired style like changing the skin tone and change gender. The backgrounds and the combat styles can be chosen according to the player's preferences, from having a brute force strength or making the opponent disable with advanced hacking.
Gameplay
Cyberpunk 2077 is basically a first-person perspective game that you will play as V, V is a mercenary whose hairstyle, face, voice, body type, clothing, and almost every feature is customizable. V can be upgraded by consulting a "ripper doc" and purchase cyberware implants, military-grade abilities are offered by the black market. All given equipment's rarity is shown by a colored tier system. V can run, jump, slide, take cover, aim, double jump. Melee attacks can be done with close combat weapons. Ranged weapons are equipped to penetrating bullets in a target's direction and get slowed down in bullet time. There are three types of ranged weapons in the game, and all of them can be customized and modified in power standard, penetration capacities, etc. Physical, Thermal, Chemical, and EMP damage can be inflicted and resisted. To repair or upgrade weapons players can take it to the gunsmiths. With non-lethal options for weapons and cyberware, The game can be completed without killing anyone.
