Developers are bringing some new toys to the Battlegrounds with the recent update, also with some visual improvements to a few weapons, and with a nostalgic theme to the main menu and much more!
Update 8.2 is running on the test server from August 12, and according to the developers by August 19 KST, update 8.2 will be running on all the servers and will be available for all.
Update 8.2 brings a new weapon name as the MG3, which is an LMG or a Light Machine Gun, and it'll be a care package exclusive item. MG3 comes with two different firing rates, a bipod to increase stability, and tracer rounds to help one to keep track of there spray, and it also comes with increased weapon damage to vehicles. So it's worth fighting for the big red box.
Things you may don't know about MG3
-> This new weapon is a care package exclusive item on all maps in the normal matches only, and it's not available in the ranked matches yet.
-> MG3 comes with two different rates of fire between 660 rpm and 990 rpm.
-> MG3 fires 7.62mm rounds, and It's magazine holds 75 rounds and it has 820 m/s of muzzle velocity.
-> While shooting vehicles the damages multiplies to 1.25x.
-> Every 5th round of the fired rounds is a tracer round, and the last 10 bullets of each magazine is also tracer rounds, which will help you to know that you're running low on ammo, the tracer round can be seen by the shooter only.
-> Unlike M249, MG3 supports optical attachments up to 6x Scope.
-> MG3 comes with a bipod which will be deployed automatically while going prone which will increase the stability of the weapon.
PUBG has brought up a new throwable, a decoy grenade
Now one can distract their enemy and cover your movements with the new "Decoy Grenade", the decay grenade will be available as the world loot on Sanhok, the Decoy Grenade will fake the sound of gunfire for about 10 seconds after thrown, giving a few moments to escape from the area.
Points to know about Decoy Grenade
-> It's a rare spawn item that will be only available on Sanhok, it will not be available in Ranked Mode.
-> Like other grenades, decoy grenades can be cooked to reduce it's detonation time, after detonation, decoy grenades create the sounds of gun fires for about 10 seconds and eject shell casings to add the disguise of real gunfire.
-> One downside of Decoy Grenades is they are not waterproof, thus throwing decoy into water will disable its effects.
-> Currently Decoy Grenades are not available in Training Mode.
Improvements in the gameplay
Developers have remodeled and retextured the M416, SKS, and kar98k from scratch to improve their visual quality, and the firing sounds of these guns are also been overhauled.
Also, you should know about the care package updates
-> C4 will be now available in the care packages on all the maps, except Karakin.
-> MG3 has been added to the care package on all maps.
Though both the items are not available in the Ranked Mode.
Balance Adjustments made to LMG (Light Machine Gun)
-> LMGs now comes with the vehicle damage multiplier,
-> MG3: 1.25x.
-> DP-28: 1.15x
-> M249: 1.10x
