Micromax is all set to make a comeback in India. They have already released a teaser video of their all-new Micromax IN Smartphone. IN is a special series of smartphones that Micromax is representing and here IN stands for India. From earlier times rumors were there that, Micromax is importing phones from China and rebranding them, and selling them in India. In the teaser, they have revealed the first look of the box, it's a very simple and clean looking box where you can see IN is written and IN means India. From earlier days rumors were there that Micromax is importing phones from China and rebranding it before selling, this is somewhat a good thing but, they used to bring smartphones from outside, and other than that they used to manufacture the feature phones in India itself. At present, Micromax has two such facilities in India for manufacturing smartphones, and for that MediaTek is helping them.
In Bangalore, India Micromax has set up a lab, where Micromax is collaborating with MediaTek for developing smartphones, Nowadays what is happening is Micromax's research and development performed in India, as well as the manufacturing, will be done in India. In India, basically assembling of the phone is done, while some components are being outsourced and some are local, so basically now also you'll get to see the assembled in India smartphone.
So we have got interesting information about the software is that the software which we will get to see in the mobile will be close to stock android, so here we won't get to see the fancy ads and the bloatware. Micromax is trying to manufacture a better smartphone than Xiaomi and Realme because these Chinese companies have completely captured the market so now it's Micromax's turn to somehow provide a better experience that. If Micromax launches their phone with stock android then it'll be a great thing, because you'll get to see a complete ad and bloatware-free UI.
We are assuming that these phones will come under the price segment of 7,000 to 15,000, and for now, they are not focusing on the segment of below 7,000, and here names of some processors have also come out under this segment, at first some names had come out like P22, G25, G35 chipsets but now they have confirmed that you can expect something better than G25 and G35 but whatever it will be, it'll be from MediaTek only. It also might happen that they are launching phones with processors like G25 and G35 but you'll get to see other phones with better processors like G70, G80, and above.
The mentality of India customers will be a challenge for the mobile companies, as nowadays everybody wants to buy a better device at a cheaper price, or we can say that people mostly go for the value for money products. Companies will not get profit only if they produce India made phones, the products should be value for money to conquer in the Indian market.
By November's first and second week you might get to see the launch of 2-3 new phones, they have planned the launch before Diwali. Another amazing fact is, by January 2021 Micromax is planning to manufacture new phones which will be coming with killer features under its segment in the coming days, this phone's research and development will take place in India itself. Nobody can stop Micromax from becoming number if they solve the two major problems of themselves is, first after-sales service, aftersales service of many companies is very poor in India, so if Micromax can provide good aftersales service then it will be a great thing, and the second problem is Software update, nowadays if you buy a phone under Rs 10,000, they can't expect any long-lasting software updates on it, if you have a Xiaomi's phones then you'll get MIUI updates but you will not get any updates in the Android version, Xiaomi and Realme are producing so many phones these days because of which providing software updates for them will be a difficult task, and if Micromax produces less quantity and give proper software updates including stock android then this will be an amazing thing. So for summarizing we can say that Micromax is bringing up an IN series of smartphones to compete against the Chinese market.
