New MacBook Air, MacBook Pro 13-in, & Mac Mini Released! M1 Power!

In the new Mac event of Apple, where Apple showed us the 1st stage of the future of the Mac revealing the New Apple M1 chip powering the 1st generation of new Apple Silicon Max including the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and the new Mac Mini.

Let's go ahead and cover what's new, and what's changed in these devices, it's an exciting step forward for the Mac trying away from the Intel Chips, which they been with since 2006 maybe. This stage includes some of the smaller Macs, and can't wait until we get into the larger 12 core chips, which probably happening next year.

So the Apple M1 Chip signifies the huge step forward for mobile processing, for one the first 5nm chip for the laptop with 16 billion transistors, which making this Apple's most powerful chip ever, and this is the first system on a package or bundle on a Mac meaning that many components you can see scattered around on the motherboard are now in one place, which equals to faster SSD performance, thanks to unified memory architecture as all these components are in one place, actually, a very efficient system, in particular, the M1 chip shines when it comes to power efficiency so at one forth the CPU power of the leading PC counterparts you can deliver the same performance when it comes to the GPU, one third the power. so you get more power and more GPU performance, all while delivering more power efficiency.

Apple also made it quite clear that moving to Apple silicon doesn't mean a headache for every one used to Intel-powered apps, as Apple has compatibility programs meaning that you can run both Intel apps and Silicon app on the same computer, of course with you iPad and iPhone Applications as well, since part of Apple's new unified architecture and the all-round performance that we've been doubting in many of the applications, actually all the apps in the macOS has been rebuilt to work for Apple Silicon.

So let's get into the hardware, Apple did announce at first the new MacBook Air, more we can see from the renders, how the much smaller logic board is, it's all unified one placed on an M1 Chip with the same design same display, now with a P3 color gamma, and thanks to the M1 chip 3.5x improved CPU performance, 5x improved GPU performance, meaning the built-in are significantly better than anything that you get on a PC counterpart, 2x faster SSD performance, thanks to that unified SSD architecture and much-improved battery life, so 15 hours of wireless web browsing, 18 hours of video playback, it's the longest battery life ever in a MacBook Air.

Apple also improved the camera with a new image signal processor, so it didn't really say the resolution got better but the software behind the camera certainly did. And what's even more impressive is that Apple can attain all these gains while removing the built-in fan, so it is a completely silent design and the price point is exactly the same as the $999, so apple is providing some real value with the new MacBook Air.

Next, the redesigned Mac Mini was also introduced, whole redesigned on the inside on the outside it looks mostly the same, the rear looks slightly different with the new IO, the Mac Mini is even faster with 3x faster CPU performance, 6x faster graphics likely attain with some extra cooling thanks to the in-built fan, and 15x faster machine learning performance, a fantastic upgrade for a classic, a favorite of many, the new Mac Mini now includes even more versatility in the ports with two thunderbolts 4 ports or USB 4, all at a lower price point of $699, so they reduced it by a $100, very very impressive machine.

Moving on to the MacBook Pro, So Apple limited this release to MacBook 13 inch, as for the larger one they have a 12 core Apple Silicon chip planned likely for next year. The machine looks the same from the outside, all of the changes are happening on the inside and Apple even called it the largest generational leap ever on a MacBook, so it has a 2.5x faster CPU, 5x faster graphical performance, and massively improved battery life, also improved cooling is always welcome. Apple says you're getting 10 hours of extra battery life, 17 hours of wireless web browsing, and 20 hours of video playback, and when it comes to programming, Apple says you're able to compile 4x the amount of code in one sitting or on one charge. MacBook Pro also gains the new image signal processor tech for the camera and new studio quality 3 mic array, all starting at the same price, so a huge upgrade for the MacBook Pro, anyone that was in the market for one, now is the time to buy, I regret that the 16 inches MacBook Pro didn't get refreshed that one will be quite a beast for what we hear, have to wait a little bit longer.

All around a very very impressive gain, no new price points.
