Here are 5 things that make the Tata Nexon so popular

1. Safety

Tata motors and safety go hand in hand, the Tata Nexon got a 5 Star rating from Global NCAP back in its pre-facelift avatar, and the 2020 facelift model of the Tata Nexon is equally safe if not more. The Nexon not only gets a strong body shell but also comes with dual front airbags, ABS, Traction control, ESP, and even Rollover mitigation right from the base variant as standard. ESP is offered as standard in both the manual and the automatic variants, which is a very good thing because most manufacturers offer this feature only on the automatic variants of mass-market cars. When the Tata Nexon became the first Indian car to get a 5 Star rating from the Globar NCAP it made every customer think about safety, now these days we have seen a very positive trend among Indian customers and thankfully they have started giving much more importance to safety than other things like price features or even fuel efficiency.

2. Features

The 2020 Tata Nexon comes with an excellent set of features you get a floating touchscreen infotainment system with 8 Harman speakers, iRA (iNTELLIGENT REAL-TIME ASSIST) connected car features, voice commands that work both in English and Hindi, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and not only this the Nexon also gets the feature which Indians really love that is Sunroof. Recently Tata Motors brought in the updated XM variant of the Nexon, and that comes with the sunroof making it the most affordable car in India with a sunroof, because of all these things the Nexon is a great package and it offers a lot of value for the money that you spend.

3. Engines

The 2020 Tata Nexon is offered with a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine which now makes 120 ps in this updated model along with that the Nexon also gets the option of a 1.5-liter diesel engine making 110 ps, both the engines are offered with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed amt and the Nexon also gets a pure electric variant. So, there is something for every kind of buyer. The Nexon EV Gets a permanent synchronous motor with a 30.2 kWh li-ion battery making 129 ps, the Electric Nexon gets a claimed range of 312KM on a full charge, Tata motors offer the same engine tuned right from the base variant to the top variant thus breaking away from the trend of certain automakers offering lesser-powered engines on the lower variants.

4. Ride Quality

Tata cars have always been known for the ride quality and the Nexon is no different, the ride of the Nexon is one of the best in this price segment and the ride is extremely comfortable it is stupendous and this car just glides over potholes and bad roads without breaking into a sweat the 209-millimeter ground clearance is also like a cherry on the cake because it allows you to tackle bad roads relations potholes without scraping the car's underbelly even with a full load of passengers. The Tata Nexon also offers pretty good handling the steering is well-weighted, it offers a good amount of feedback and even the body control is very confidence-inspiring.

5. Design

After showing the Nexon concept at the 2014 Auto Expo Tata Motors impressed everyone with this vehicle styling when it was launched in 2017. The Coupe SUV styling looks much different than the standard offerings in this segment and the 2020 facelift model takes it a few notches ahead because the styling is now revised it is bolder and it is sharper, not only this the cabin of the Nexon is also quite spacious and the rear seat is the widest in the segment allowing 3 people to travel comfortably.

Looking at the way the car is performing in terms of sales the day isn't very far when there will be 2,00,000 units of the Tata Nexon will be rolled out on the road.
