French Automaker Renault has had a very interesting journey in India, the automaker Renault has launched vehicles that have either created new segments or game competition to some of the highest selling cars in the country.
Let's start with the Renault Duster which made its debut in 2012. The duster was the first proper compact SUV and the flag bearer of its segment, the Renault Duster became a name in the SUV segment and created a good brand value for Renault in India.
The duster has always been available with multiple engine options. The BS6 model is available with two petrol engines, one of them being a brand new 1.3-liter turbocharged engine, which is the most powerful turbo petrol engine within its segment, not only this the duster has always been known for its flawless reliability and it's capability while it's ride quality has been one of the biggest USPs.
Renault launched the Kwid a few years back and started it in the most popular segment of the entry-level hatchback category in India. The Kwid is offered with multiple engine options too, 800 CC and 1-liter petrol, along with the choice of a manual or an AMT gearbox, the Kwid got a major update last year and it definitely looks brilliant while also being loaded with a good amount of kit.
2019 was also a very important year for Renault because they launched The Triber, a value for money offer, which offers excellent packaging. The Triber has become very popular, and now it also comes with an AMT, the Renault Triber offers nice to have features cool glove box, multiple storage compartments, flexible seats, and a handy third row.
2021 is going to be another important year for Renault as they are going to launch the all-new Kiger which is a sub-4-meter compact SUV, the Kiger will share its underpinnings with the Triber and not only that it will also come equipped with a turbocharged petrol engine, Renault showcased the concept version of the Kiger just a few weeks back and the styling does look quite good, the Renault Kiger will make it's global debut on 20th January looking at how Renault has priced the cyborg, we can expect the automaker to price the Kiger very attractively as well, the Kiger is also expected to come equipped with a good set of features and other practical bits and Renault promises that it will be sporty, smart and stunning BSUV.
