Hyundai Alcazar vs Hyundai Creta Comparison - Which Should You Buy and Why?

So generally there are many buyers of Creta in the market and after the launch of Hyundai Alcazar, people are confused about that they upgrade to Alcarzar or stick to Creta. So in this article, we'll be going to make you clear, that which car you take amongst these two.

So both the cars are made on the same platform, but the difference is Alcazar is a little bit longer than Creta and it is made more premium than Creta, and some extra features have been given to Alcazar which doesn't come with Creta, and moreover, Alcazar is a 7-seater and Creta is a 5-seater. Both the cars look somewhat similar from the front and both of them come with Trio-beam LEDs, it is available in the top model of Creta, whereas in Alcazar, it comes with all the variants. Alcazar comes with LED projector foglamps, whereas Creta comes with regular yellow bulb foglamps. There is a difference in the grille of the cars, Creta's grille is a little bit smaller whereas Alcazar's grille is a little bit bigger than Creta's, and Alcazar looks very big from the front because of its bigger grille. From the side profile of the car, the wheelbase of Creta is small and the wheelbase of Alcazar is bigger than Creta, and because of this Alcazar is a little bit longer and Hyundai has tried to provide more space in it. Both of the cars come with 17-inch tires, it is only available with the top model of Creta and in Alcazar, it is available with the base model, but in the top model of Alcazar, 18-inch tires are given. The ground clearance of Alcazar is 200mm and Creta gas 150 mm ground clearance, and if both have 17-inch wheels, then their ground clearance will be 190mm only. Steps are given on Alcazar for going in and out of the car, but as Creta is a little bit lower so going in and out is easier. From the rear, again there is a difference in the design of both the cars, Creta has a more simplistic look similar to its front, whereas in Alcazar, the rear has been changed in terms of overall appeal, and they have tried to give it a premiumness in the overall stance. Many elements are similar in the design like the design of the headlamp is similar, both come with sharkfin antenna, both come with spoilers, so all these features are similar in the car.

Both the cars have a similar dashboard layout, the same touch screen comes in with the top-end Creta and in all the variants of Alcazar, even the design of the steering wheel is also similar. However, a few changes have been made with the interiors like the Alcazar comes with a black and brown interior and Creta comes with a black and beige interior. The finish of the steering wheel and gear has been changed to give it a more premium feel in the Alcazar. A polished finish is given to the center console part of the Alcazar. Some extra features are given in to Alcazar which is a 360-degree camera, digital instrument cluster, which is not given into the Creta. So these are some features that are not provided in the Creta. The price makes a big difference between them. Both the cars come with bose speakers and panoramic sunroofs, so these similarities will be seen in both the cars. The 2nd row of Alcazar and Creta is almost similar, but there is one difference in Alcazar, it comes with adjustable seat position, and moreover, the 2-seater option is also in the 2nd row, whereas if you take bench seat options, then you will get similar features almost like you'll get sunblinds, AC vents, charging port, phone storage point. So these are similar things, whereas if you take a 6-seater version then you'll get some extra features in the center like wireless charging, cup holder, etc. So that's where the difference comes, and Alcazar also has 3rd row. Alcazar has less boot space than Creta if all three seats of Alcazar are raised up, and if the 3rd-row seats are folded in Alcazar, then Alcazar has more boot space than Creta. So if you want to use more boot space then it becomes a plus point for Alcazar. Creta's seats also can be reclined but they cannot be slid unlike Alcazar's.

Both Creta and Alcazar come with the same diesel engines, both have the same power and same torque, but minute changes have been made to the final drive. As the weight of Alcazar is more, so for better acceleration changes have been made to its final drive ratio. In the case of the petrol engine, Creta comes with a 1.4-liter turbo petrol engine, but Alcazar comes with a 2.0-liter petrol engine, So the performance of Alcazar's engine will definitely be better than Creta, and the size of the car is bigger than Creta so it does make a good sense to pair it up there. In terms of pickup, the 1.4-liter turbo petrol engine has good pickup and doesn't have any problem and will nearly match with the 2.0 engine in terms of overall performance, but with the 2-liter engine, the initial thrust that you'll get will be better than the turbocharged engine. So this makes a difference. So in the automatic of Alcazar, in case of both diesel and petrol engines, both come with different drive modes like Comfort, Eco, Sport, and traction also comes with 3 modes whereas, in Creta, these modes are given only with the 1.4-liter turbo petrol engine. So this also makes a difference. So if you're driving the diesel automatic of Creta vs the automatic of Alcazar, then you'll feel Alcazar is a little bit under power, actually happened here is, because of the modes which are given in Alcazar, so city mode has been provided with a little less power so that you'd get better mileage on it.

So which one you should choose?

So if your budget is for mid-level Creta then you should stick with the Creta, but if you require a 6-seater or a 7-seater then you should go for Alcazar, it is obvious though but another thing is if you think your budget can be exceeded for the higher level Creta than Alcazar, will become a better choice for you as it is more premium, spacious, and has extra features, moreover, if you travel sitting more on you rear seat then we'll recommend you, Alcazar, pricing might feel a little higher but the Alcazar comes with more features also. 3 reasons if you want to buy Alcazar, first if you want a 6 or 7-seater, second if you want more features, thrid if you generally sit in the rear seat and driver drives the car. So these reason makes Alcazar a better choice, otherwise, Creta is already the best selling SUV in the market, so you can stick to it also.

Thats all for this post. So stay tuned to CERadar for more such content.
